With huge thanks to all our partners...
Innovation through collaboration is the cornerstone of Aura’s work.
We take a strategic view of the low carbon sector, identifying opportunities where organisations, and particularly SMEs, can collaborate in order to find solutions to build their low-carbon capacity and work towards meeting net zero targets.
We are here to support Humber businesses, giving them access to our cutting-edge facilities, specialist funded support and a space to innovate and collaborate. It’s where you can connect with the research power of the University of Hull and industry experts to deliver innovation into your business and services to your customers. That might be through partnership between industry and academia or developing an innovative material or device, a digital tool or service; it could be working in our collaborative space, AuraFleX, where like-minded businesses innovate and collaborate, driving down emissions and generating new ideas; or it might be putting on an event in a space like no other, or helping you to pursue your net zero journey.
BAE Systems provides some of the world’s most advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions and employs a skilled workforce of some 89,600 people in more than 40 countries. Working with customers and local partners, we develop technology that helps to save lives, protect borders and people, strengthen nations, and keeps critical information and infrastructure secure. Since we, like many other companies, joined the United Nations ‘Race to Zero’ campaign our focus on minimising our impact on the environment and operating more sustainably has sharpened. Taking a ‘whole industry’ approach we are investing in processes and technologies to create leaner, lighter products with a lower carbon footprint, develop innovative ways of working to improve energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of our operations and products. We are also investing in our people and in 2022 launched a new masters-level sustainability apprenticeship. You can read more about our approach to sustainability here.
